One Tab Only: Keep Your Tabs Organized
One Tab Only is a free Chrome extension developed by tamas.janky. This handy add-on falls under the Browsers category and specifically the Add-ons & Tools subcategory.
The main purpose of One Tab Only is to ensure that there is only one tab open for a specified/configured domain URL. If there is a change in the URL of any tab, the extension will check if the new URL's domain matches the defined and configured domain URL pattern. If there is a match, the extension will check all open tabs for the configured domain URL. If any tab is found with the same domain, the new URL will be opened in the existing tab, and the tab that sourced the URL will be closed.
Configuration of the domain URL can be done easily through the extension options link on the extension details page. Additionally, the extension can send notifications when a match occurs, which can be switched off in the options screen.
